Dear faculty and staff,
Welcome to the 2024-25 academic year. We’re in the midst of Wolfpack Welcome Week, where the university community experiences the best of NC State and gets the semester off to a strong start.
As you have heard, the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity (OIED) is now the Office of Equal Opportunity. This and other changes have been made to comply with the new UNC System policy, “Equality Within the University of North Carolina.” We appreciate the support of the Wolfpack community during this time of transition.
In this newsletter, you’ll get to see what your colleagues and students have been up to this summer, and perhaps be inspired to pursue more adventures of your own. Faculty will also find some helpful guidance for the start of the year from our friends in the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, and everyone will get to know a little more about Faculty and Staff Ombuds Bradley Davis.
I appreciate everything that you do to make NC State an outstanding higher education institution, and I look forward to what the rest of the academic year will bring.
