Dear faculty and staff,
At NC State, we keep our momentum going year-round. Summer is in full swing, complete with classes, camps, New Student Orientation, and much more.
We’ve had lots going on around campus, including the topping off ceremony for the new Integrated Sciences Building, which will change the way we do science at NC State.
Additionally, I wanted to let everyone know that Kim Grainger, associate vice provost for academic personnel and policy in our Office for Faculty Excellence, has been named senior vice provost for Faculty Excellence, effective July 1. She will assume the duties of current Senior Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs Katharine Stewart, who will be stepping down from her position to return to her full-time faculty role as a professor in the Department of Psychology. We are excited to have such talented administrators here at NC State.
With everything going on, I’m sure you’re all staying busy, both on campus and wherever your adventures take you this summer. We want to let everyone know what you’re up to in the August 2024 issue of the Provost’s Office newsletter. If you’re interested in participating, please send a paragraph description of your summer adventures, along with a high-resolution photo and your name/position/department to provost-communications@ncsu.edu by Friday, August 16.
Regardless of your plans, I hope you are able to enjoy some rest, relaxation and time with loved ones this summer. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
