November 2023 Provost’s Corner

Provost Warwick Arden

Dear faculty and staff,

With less than a month left in the fall 2023 semester, we’re all working hard preparing for exams, holidays and much more. I want to thank each one of you for a highly successful Red and White Week, which gave our community a glimpse at what makes our Wolfpack family special.

The celebrations continue with International Education Month, where we recognize NC State’s global connections and impact. With great support from the Office of Global Engagement, the university has become a leader in global research, education and partnerships. You can read more about the office and the inaugural Culinary World Cup in this month’s newsletter.

I also want to take a moment to recognize some of our outstanding faculty, 107 of whom have achieved promotion or tenure this year. These faculty have met rigorous standards in their realms of responsibility, and have excelled in their respective disciplines.

Good luck to all of you as we gear up for exams and make the final push toward commencement. I hope that you are able to enjoy a restful Thanksgiving break coming up and I send my best wishes to all of you during this busy time.

If you’d like to know more about all of the academic happenings subscribe to our newsletter and follow @NCStateProvost on X (formerly Twitter).

Until next time,
Warwick Arden
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
