April 2021 Provost’s Corner

Dear faculty and staff,

I hope that you’ve been able to share in the positive happenings around campus lately. With the advent of spring came news of expanded vaccine eligibility, and many in our community have already taken advantage of that opportunity.

Additionally, NC State Student Health Services is now an approved provider of COVID-19 vaccinations for all university faculty, staff and students. If you have not done so already, you can pre-register to receive your vaccine here.

Because of your hard work in helping control the spread of COVID-19, we have been able to offer an on-campus experience this semester that is moving ever closer to what we all expect. You have continued to serve students and colleagues alike through your dedication to teaching, research, innovation and service in all facets of university life. 

Continuing our efforts to move toward an even better, stronger NC State, we presented the campus community with the final draft of NC State’s 2021-2030 Strategic Plan. Chancellor Woodson will present this plan to the NC State Board of Trustees for endorsement at its meeting this week. We hope to have more information on the finalization of the plan and the start of implementation planning soon.

Thank you so much for your involvement in the development of this plan, and in making this semester a success for faculty, staff and students. I look forward to a strong close to the academic year and to what’s next for NC State.
