My lab’s research is focused the One Health approach, emphasizing the intricate connection between human, animal, and environmental health. With a specialized focus on host-pathogen interaction and combating antimicrobial resistance from foodborne infections, our research probes into the mechanics of disease transmission and development, particularly in the context of zoonotic diseases and antimicrobial resistance. This work is not only crucial for developing innovative treatments and preventative strategies but also plays a pivotal role in predicting and controlling disease outbreaks. By understanding the dynamics of host-pathogen interactions, our research contributes to the broader One Health initiative, offering insights that are instrumental in shaping effective public health policies and practices.
