Bio

Dr Yasobant, a global health scientist, has completed his public health doctoral degree and post-doctoral training at the Institute for Hygiene & Public Health (IHPH), University of Bonn, Germany. He is working as an Assistant Professor and Co-Leading the Centre for One Health Education, Research & Development (COHERD) at the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG), India, and Leading the Global One Health Working Group at the IHPH, Germany. Additionally, he is also serving as an adjunct faculty member at the Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha, India, and an associate researcher at the Centre for Development Research, University of Bonn, Germany. He has been serving as an Editor-in-Chief at the Dialogues in Health (Elsevier, ScienceDirect) since 2022 and holds multiple editorial affiliations with Elsevier, Frontiers, PLOS, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis. Additionally, he is enriching the scientific community by serving as the Steering Committee Member (Asia Pacific Region) at the Alliance against Health Risks in Wildlife Trade, One Health Mentor at the ECHO Network, Global Assessor at the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, assisting Lancet’s Commission in the Citizen’s Engagement Working Group as a Lancet Fellow, as a Collaboration & Partnership Lead supporting the Evidence to Action Working Group of Health System Global. His research areas of expertise are One Health and Disease Prevention, Health Policy and Systems Research and Operational Research, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology & Biostatistics. Yasobant has conducted extensive research in Southeast Asia and is currently engaged in research activities in India and Ghana.
