Rodolphe Barrangou is the T. R. Klaenhammer Distinguished Professor at North Carolina State University. Barrangou is focusing on the characterization of CRISPR-Cas systems, and their applications in food bacteria for sustainable manufacturing and promoting human health. The CRISPR lab is also heavily engaged in collaborative translational research with industry and academia to deploy genome editing technologies for sustainable agriculture and human medicines.
