Bio

Professor Raman Muthusamy is the adviser and Research Professor at the Center for Global Health Research at Saveetha Medical College, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai India. He is also a former Director of the Translational Research Platform for Veterinary Biologicals, a novel partnership program of Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai. He served for a short stint at the Saveetha Dental college in the dept of Microbiology, Centre for Infectious Diseases. His past professional experience includes 30 year tenure as Director and Professor at the Madras Veterinary College and Centre for Animal Health Studies at TANUVAS and 10 years as a State veterinary surgeon in the Govt of Tamil Nadu.

Prof Raman has a vast research experience in the area of One health approach, Anti-Microbial Resistance, Zoonotic and neglected tropical diseases and translational research in development of diagnostics, vaccines and novel therapeutics for infectious diseases of man and animals.
