Bio

My work spans 3 main areas: clinical infectious diseases, clinical research, and epidemiology/public health. Clinically, I see a mix of consults through Duke Hospital but also an outrider clinic for HIV patients regardless of insurance status in Fayetteville, NC. For research, I am involved in both clinical trials (including trials for ceftobiprole and dalbavancin for Staph bacteremia) and infection prevention (including C. difficile prevention in hospital and community settings). Finally, for epidemiology/public health, I also serve as a TB clinician for Wake County (which includes refugee health work) and conduct quality improvement/epidemiology work with the TB program. In addition to TB/refugee health work, my prior global health experience includes a 6 week deployment to the Marshall Islands as part of the CDC’s TB/Leprosy elimination program.
