Bio
I received my degree in photochemistry research which facilitated my transition into green chemistry (GC) and studying the biopolymers produced from water, light, and carbon dioxide. Today, I work to exploit GC to offer sustainable options to food preservation, water purification, drug delivery systems, new energy paradigms, and combating environmental pollution. At our Laboratory of Soft Materials & Green Chemistry, we integrate with engineers, biologists, and materials scientists to create a menu of technologies grounded in chemistry to train students and visitors on the biorefinery.
