Bio
Dr. Krista Estes, DNP, FNP-BC, is a highly accomplished healthcare professional and educator, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Division Chair at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. Additionally, she is an Assistant Director on the University of Colorado Interprofessional Practice and Education Council. In this role, Dr. Estes plays a crucial part in designing and implementing a longitudinal curriculum that provides comprehensive interprofessional training to all students.
Previously, Dr. Estes served as the Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty Director. In her scholarly pursuits, she focuses on various areas including simulation, interprofessional education, curriculum revision, telehealth, and skin/soft tissue infections. Her dedication to teaching excellence has been acknowledged through the receipt of the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
