Bio
I obtained a DVM and MSc from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Nigeria in 1979 and 1984 respectively and PhD in Veterinary Microbiology from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992, where I did a two-year posted doctoral fellowship as well. I have been a tenured Professor of Veterinary Public Health at ABU since 1997, engaged in teaching and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My areas of research interest include molecular epidemiology of zoonotic, foodborne and emerging infectious diseases, AMR, etc.
