Bio
Jacelyn Rice-Boayue is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. Prior to joining NCSU, she served as an assistant professor at UNC Charlotte and a postdoctoral scholar at Duke University. As a Fulbright Scholar, she conducted research and lectured in the water and sanitation program at the International Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering in Burkina Faso. Her research group aims to advance sustainable water resource management by integrating computational modeling, analytical chemistry, and social science approaches. Much of her work focuses on assessing the risks posed by emerging contaminants to human and ecosystem health through model-informed surveillance and field studies.
