Bio

Huiling Ding is Professor of English in the technical communication program at North Carolina State University. She also serves as Director of Labor Analytics and Workforce Development, Data Science Academy of NC State University and Chair of SIGDOC, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
Her research focuses on focuses on responsible AI, critical algorithm studies, technical communication, health risk communication, environmental risk communication, digital rhetoric, intercultural professional communication, and epidemic communication. Her recent projects have been exploring pandemic communication, AI ethics and data ethics, global AI race, AI-driven communication technologies, real-time labor market analytics, automated recruiting, risk communication, and social justice.
