Bio
Caren Cooper uses methods of the participatory sciences for research and engagement related to safe drinking water, clean streams and lakes, wetland protection, and climate-related stressors. She and her students also use social science and geospatial methods to study the participatory sciences, particularly related to how the design of citizen science projects tends to either reinforce current social inequities or actively disrupt them.
