Bio
I am a disease ecologist with a background in veterinary medicine, disease modeling, and conservation research. My work focuses on host-pathogen systems with public health and conservation implications. I explore emerging and novel pathogens, such as chronic wasting disease (CWD), zoonoses like West Nile virus, baylisascariasis, and leptospirosis, as well as pathogen spillover at the human-domestic-wildlife interface, including rabies and Kyasanur Forest Disease. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor at Auburn University’s College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, and the College of Veterinary Medicine, where I teach courses in Disease Ecology, Wildlife diseases and One Health.
