Bio
Angela Allen is an Assistant Teaching Professor with over 20 years of experience in institutions of higher learning, ranging from 2 -year institutions, to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and now North Carolina State University (NCSU). She currently holds the roles of Director of Environmental Technology and Management and Co- Director of Environmental Sciences programs. Her interest is engaging and providing support to undergraduate students in research training through interdisciplinary connections with academia, government, and industry. She fosters research designs, facilitating collaborations, and networking opportunities across physical, life, and social sciences. She has launched the Environmental Resource Water Assessment Training Program (ERWATP) that fosters undergraduate research experience and community partnerships to monitor environmental stressors and water quality concerns.
