Bio

Dr. Mallavarapu’s research investigates design and implementations of digital interactive environments as collaborative serious games, and virtual simulations, that can be installed in social spaces such as science centers, museums with a goal to communicate and engage public with complex scientific problems (e.g. climate change, disease propagation, water pollution, etc.). The goal of this installation is to document how humans strategize when addressing these problems, and use the user interaction data to train and design AI solutions that can work alongside humans for addressing these problems in real-world.
