Bio
Dr Gazdik Stofer is an Associate Teaching Professor of Microbiology with expertise in infectious diseases and public health. Her research explores gene regulatory mechanisms in Mycobacterial species to better understand the pathogenicity mechanisms of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of TB. Her teaching integrates aspects of global health with the biological basis of microbial pathogenesis, emerging infectious diseases, and medical microbiology.
