Food Safety and Applied Microbiology Expert. Dr. Calle leads International Food Safety projects in several countries in Latin America. Her research focuses on improving the burden of foodborne diseases by investigating strategies to mitigate pathogen contamination at the pre-and post-harvest levels with food animals (beef, dairy, and swine).
