October 2018 Provost’s Corner

Provost Warwick Arden

Dear faculty and staff,

I wanted to extend a thank you to each of you who have dedicated your time, energy and other resources to Hurricane Florence recovery efforts. Your actions over the past month showcase what makes our Wolfpack community truly special.

This month, we’ll have several more opportunities to come together and celebrate what makes NC State great. Diversity Education Week runs October 15-19 and highlights our institutional commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity. Please take a moment to review the schedule of events and find ways to get involved.

Our annual Red and White Week takes place October 28-November 3 and includes a variety of homecoming activities. This includes the annual Three Minute Thesis competition, a canned food drive and the Chancellor’s Fall address.

With so much going on, I am more thankful than ever for the outstanding faculty and staff that work hard to make these events successful. You are truly appreciated, and I hope that you will take time to learn and share in the fun taking place around campus this fall.

To keep up with all academic and faculty- or staff-related developments, follow @NCStateProvost on Twitter.

Until next time,
Warwick Arden
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
