Dear faculty and staff,
We’re getting closer to the end of the fall semester and a much-deserved break. But first, we’re looking forward to a time of celebration with our university community during winter commencement on December 13, welcoming many new alumni into our family.
These new Wolfpack graduates comprise 40 associate, 2,104 undergraduate, 985 master’s and 369 doctoral degrees. With the 7,234 degrees NC State conferred last May, the university will award a total of 10,732 degrees in 2025. You can learn more about a few of our graduates in this newsletter.
We’re also celebrating the latest class of Goodnight Early Career Innovators and looking forward to the spring Conference on Faculty Excellence. I’d also like to make a special mention of and send my best to Marielle Pocan, the Provost’s Office communications manager, who is retiring effective January 1. We will all miss you!
Thank you for making 2025 a year to remember. I wish you a break filled with quality time with friends and family, and peace, hope and happiness for the year to come. Here’s to a great 2026.
