March 2025 Provost’s Corner

Warwick Arden

Dear faculty and staff,

As we move through spring break and the midway point of the semester, we’re gearing up for a busy couple of months on campus.

March marks our annual observance of Women’s History Month, where we celebrate the contributions of the countless women who have made NC State an outstanding place to participate in scholarship and service.

We are also proud that — once again — NC State has been recognized as one of the universities with the highest number of faculty selected for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, with seven faculty receiving the honor this year. Additionally, our faculty showcased their contributions to the university community through the recent Conference on Faculty Excellence, as well as an open house for the Climate and Sustainability Academy, NC State’s fourth academy.

Don’t forget that the university’s Day of Giving is coming up on March 26. This is a great time to show others our commitment to our university, community and state by #GivingPack to a variety of worthy funds.

I appreciate everything that you and your colleagues do to achieve in your respective disciplines, support students and continue to strengthen our land-grant mission. The rest of the semester is sure to be an exciting one, and I look forward to closing out the academic year with you.

Until next time,
Warwick Arden
