December 2024 Announcements
- When campus is closed for Winter Holiday, NC State reduces energy consumption in campus buildings by lowering building temperatures and turning off lights and unused equipment. Since 2005, the Holiday Energy Savings Initiative (HESI) has avoided more than $6 million in utility costs, thanks to participation from every unit on campus. This participation is essential and reflects the university’s commitment to sustainability and responsible stewardship of resources. If, for any reason, an exemption is necessary due to a university’s mission-critical purpose, please follow the instructions below. Calendars, exemption requests, frequently asked questions and more info are available online at go.ncsu.edu/HESI.
