NCSU Libraries Director Finalists Announced

Students use the Hunt Library.

On-campus interviews for Senior Vice Provost and Director of Libraries finalist candidates will begin next week. The candidate chosen for this position will advance the NCSU Libraries’ legacy of academic leadership and collaborative efforts in building spaces, programs and partnerships for all of NC State and the community at large.

The finalists are:

  • Kevin Smith, University of Kansas: Oct. 1 – 2
  • Greg Raschke, NC State University: Oct. 8 – 9
  • Scott Walter, DePaul University: Oct. 11 – 12
  • Jennifer Nutefall, Santa Clara University: Oct. 25 – 26

NC State faculty, staff and students are invited to open forums where each candidate will speak on their vision for a research library of the future, with a question and answer session to follow. The forum schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 2, 9:15-10 a.m. in Talley Student Union, Currituck Ballroom (Kevin Smith)
  • Tuesday, Oct. 9, 9:15-10 a.m. in Talley Student Union, Room 3222 (Greg Raschke)
  • Friday, Oct. 12, 9:15-10 a.m. in Talley Student Union, Room 3210 (Scott Walter)
  • Friday, Oct. 26, 9:15-10 a.m. in Talley Student Union, Room 3222 (Jennifer Nutefall)
