Supporting Academic Continuity

Planning is underway for the fall semester, and in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, faculty and university partners are there to help CHASS colleagues with their academic continuity questions.

How Do You Think and Do?

We want to tell the campus community about something new and different that you’ve learned and/or done since we’ve been apart in the August 2020 issue of the Provost’s Office newsletter. From engaging in social activism and community service, to new research, trying a new hobby or uncovering a hidden talent and more — we want to hear about it all.

June 2020 Provost’s Corner

Words cannot do justice to what so many of you are experiencing and the way you are feeling in the wake of George Floyd’s death. We want you to know that we see you, we are listening, and are working to find ways to respond that will respect the dignity of Black lives.

Diversity and Inclusion: Recognizing our Shortcomings, Working to Improve

From Chancellor Woodson: At this challenging time across our nation, and in our own community, we want to be clear where NC State leadership stands: We stand against and condemn white supremacy, racial injustice and all forms of racism and discrimination. NC State’s Black students, faculty and staff deserve a campus culture where they feel safe, supported, respected and valued. We are committed to doing all we can to protect, promote and advance diversity, equity and inclusion at NC State.

A Different Prague Experience

More than 50 NC State undergraduates arrived at the NC State European Center in Prague this January to go on a journey of academic and cultural enrichment. Signs of spring began to show up in the Czech Republic’s capital just as COVID-19 hit. Even with everything that happened this semester, NC State Prague continued with classes, albeit in a different manner than usual.
