Implementation Plan Receives Midpoint Touch-Up

NC State’s Wolfpack 2030 strategic plan is operationalized through three-year implementation plans. This past fall, with the current implementation plan nearing its halfway point, the cabinet considered a few minimal and meaningful adjustments to the living document. The adjusted plan, posted in late January, includes:

  • three new initiatives,

3.7 – Expand transfer student access through Wolfpack Connect and related initiatives.

3.8 – Transition NC State’s learning management system to Canvas by Instructure.

9.7 – Guide universitywide compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) updated standards for accessibility in digital spaces.

  • a new section at the bottom of the plan, housing eleven initiatives that met major milestones and entered a continuous improvement phase.

NC State’s approaches to drive accountability and progress also receive touch-up

Institutional Effectiveness (IE) oversees the Wolfpack 2030 implementation plans. Under this adjusted implementation plan, IE’s Strategy and Implementation Team (SIT) continues its practice of quarterly check-in calls with initiative contacts while also introducing a new practice: biannual check-ins after an initiative transitions to core work and continuous improvement. Quarterly and biannual check-ins invite contacts to reflect: what’s been achieved since the last call, and what, if any, barriers or challenges are at hand or anticipated?
