Dear faculty and staff,
Welcome back to campus and to the spring 2026 semester! I hope that you all had a wonderful, restful break and are looking forward what’s ahead.
We’re in the midst of Winter Welcome Week, where new students can explore NC State and find their Wolfpack through a variety of events and activities. Returning faculty, staff and students can take advantage of opportunities to reconnect and welcome others to our campus home.
There’s a lot to be excited about and look forward to as we move through January and into the spring. We are proud to announce that NC State has once again earned the prestigious Carnegie Community Engagement Reclassification from the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Additionally, NC State has rolled out four new master’s degree programs, and the Integrative Sciences Initiative is hosting the third annual Integrative Symposium of NC State Training Grants on Jan. 30.
I also wanted to ask you to take a moment to fill out the University Standing Committee Survey, available online now through Feb. 2 at 5 p.m. This is a great way to provide leadership with feedback to help determine NC State’s direction for the future.
Thank you to everyone for helping get this semester off to a great start — I am looking forward to seeing all the results of your hard work and dedication to NC State over the coming months.
