New Gift From Peter A. Pappas ’83 Will Transform Real Estate Development in North Carolina

With a significant contribution from Peter A. Pappas ’83, NC State will become home to a new program that will prepare students for careers in real estate development. The Peter A. Pappas Real Estate Development Program will provide a comprehensive approach to real estate development, focusing on land-use, transportation and open-space planning.

Faculty Excellence Abounds

The Celebration of Faculty Excellence is held each spring to recognize outstanding faculty who have received prestigious state, national and international awards, accolades or other distinctions during this academic year. This year, NC State honored 41 faculty members during the 2024 Celebration of Faculty Excellence on April 30.

Turning of the Tassels

Spring 2024 commencement took place this past Saturday at PNC Arena, with 6,667 students turning their tassels and becoming proud Wolfpack alumni. Their journey, started during the COVID-19 pandemic, took them many places throughout campus and around the world, and now they’re ready to start a new journey. Here, we survey some of their stories, how NC State shaped lives, and how they plan on taking Think and Do into the future.

Update on NC State’s 2024 SACSCOC Reaffirmation

Through the guidance of NC State’s Office of Assessment and Accreditation, the university recently completed another milestone in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges reaffirmation of accreditation process. This milestone centered on off-campus instructional site visits earlier this year and a campus visit in March.
