Bio

Adrian Day serves as Vice Provost for Business Operations and Strategic Resource Management at NC State University. In this role, Day serves as chief business officer for the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, managing all funding sources and overseeing the office’s academic budget. He works closely with the university’s colleges and large units to assist in operations and efficiency, and allocates various funding protocols to these units.

Day has spent more than a decade in higher education management and operations. Previously, he held the position of senior director of research fiscal affairs for the university’s Office of Research and Innovation, and director of finance and business for PowerAmerica at NC State. In these roles, he managed financial activities that supported the units and aligned with NC State’s overall strategic planning efforts.

Day earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from American University and his master’s degree in public administration from NC State. He has taken courses and certificate programs in business accounting and strategic resource planning in higher education, from Georgetown University and Harvard University, respectively.
