{"id":10334,"date":"2021-05-24T08:34:19","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T12:34:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofd.ncsu.edu\/?p=10334"},"modified":"2022-06-15T19:47:54","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T19:47:54","slug":"ofd-newsletter-may-24-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/provost.ncsu.edu\/ofe\/2021\/05\/24\/ofd-newsletter-may-24-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"OFD Newsletter: May 24, 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NCFDD 14-Day Writing Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facultydiversity.org\/\">National Center for Faculty Development &amp; Diversity<\/a>&#8216;s next <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facultydiversity.org\/sessions\/14daysummer2021\">14-Day Writing Challenge<\/a> is scheduled for June 21 &#8211; July 4, 2021. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facultydiversity.org\/sessions\/14daysummer2021\">Registration<\/a> closes on June 16, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 14-Day Challenge is an opportunity for you to experiment with daily writing, online community, and supportive accountability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It&#8217;s very simple:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You commit to write every day for at least 30 minutes.<\/li><li>At the beginning of your writing time, you login to our online community, start the timer, complete your writing, and post your progress at the end.<\/li><li>You take 5 minutes to support other writers in your group by commenting on their progress.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is NOT for you if: 1) you don&#8217;t want to post your progress on a daily basis and\/or 2) you don&#8217;t want to interact with other people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re up for the challenge, then we can&#8217;t wait for you to join us! The Office of Faculty Development offers virtual writing retreats, Writing Wednesdays, designed to support you in getting it done!
