{"id":847,"date":"2011-09-23T07:28:37","date_gmt":"2011-09-23T11:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ofd.ncsu.edu\/?page_id=847"},"modified":"2023-01-19T15:46:56","modified_gmt":"2023-01-19T15:46:56","slug":"consultations-by-ofe-staff","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/provost.ncsu.edu\/ofe\/about-ofe\/consultations-by-ofe-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"Consultations by OFE Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office for Faculty Excellence (OFE) provides one-on-one consultations with individual faculty or group consultations with departments or committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We can provide consultation for questions, such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do you have questions on course design, such as how to best design your syllabus, how to integrate more active learning, or how to best moderate discussion?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you interested in learning more about how to make changes in the formative and summative assessment techniques in your classroom?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have you wondered about how to integrate service learning, universal design, or sustainable teaching in your classroom?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do you want to learn how to better motivate your students? Would you like help developing group activities for your classroom?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you trying to find someone to sit in on a class or session and provide you with feedback?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consultations provide an opportunity for faculty to explore various teaching and learning strategies and approaches. A consultation may consist of one or two meetings to discuss topics of interest or a series of meetings over the course of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you are looking to try something new in a class or to discuss a particular teaching and learning issue, the OFE staff is happy to provide personalized support.
