How Can We Help?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Director of External Faculty Recognition facilitates NC State faculty nominations and applications to external awards. All faculty who are interested in applying to an award can reach out to the Director,\u00a0Kyle Miskell<\/a>, for help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the specific ways we can help is with the process for obtaining institutional letters of support. Some awards require letters of\u00a0institutional support that need to come from the Chancellor or Provost.\u00a0Learn more here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prestigious and Highly Prestigious Awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For a more comprehensive catalog of awards, review the lists created by the National Research Council (NRC). The NRC collects and ranks awards for the arts and humanities, social sciences, physical sciences and engineering and the life sciences. Included in the lists are research awards, fellowships, memberships in honorary societies and teaching awards. Those awards that the NRC designates as prestigious and highly prestigious factor into institutional rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
