Oral Communication Consultations – COMMondays <\/strong>
Location:<\/strong> Hunt Library 5148, North Tower, + Zoom
Schedule:<\/strong> Mondays, 10:00-12 noon <\/p>\n\n\n\n

COMMondays offers individual and group consultations on all aspects of oral communication for faculty and graduate students. Topics include presenting research at conferences, public communication of technical information, classroom activities involving oral communication (such as public speaking, interviewing, group projects, and conversation management), student engagement strategies, and developing a strong presence both online and in-person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sessions are designed to support your growth as a researcher, teacher, mentor, or colleague, providing practical guidance and feedback tailored to your specific needs. Appointments and drop-ins are welcome, either in-person at Hunt Library 5148 or via Zoom, making it easy to fit into your schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Writing Wolves program provides instructional faculty\u2014including graduate students\u2014with structured, protected writing time in a supportive and collegial environment. Each session begins with a brief goal-setting exercise to help participants focus on their writing objectives, followed by independent writing time in a quiet, dedicated space. Sessions conclude with a short wrap-up reflection, allowing participants to share progress, insights, or challenges if they wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These sessions are designed to help faculty maintain momentum on research articles, grant proposals, or other scholarly and professional writing projects while fostering a sense of accountability and community. Participants are welcome to join regularly or drop in as their schedules allow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
