Dear faculty and staff,
I am honored and excited to serve this remarkable NC State community as your provost.
One thing is abundantly clear about NC State: as a land-grant institution, our mission changes lives. Every day, our students, faculty and staff advance knowledge, strengthen communities, and create opportunities across North Carolina and beyond. The impact of the Wolfpack is visible in our classrooms, laboratories, workplaces and partnerships throughout the state.
This is an important moment for NC State, and I approach this role with energy, curiosity and a deep sense of responsibility. Over the coming weeks and months, I look forward to listening and learning—engaging with faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners to better understand our strengths, opportunities and aspirations for the future.
Together, we will continue building on NC State’s momentum by expanding our research impact, supporting the success and well-being of our faculty and staff, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. I am committed to advancing our mission and strengthening the university’s role as a leader in education, innovation and service.
