Dear faculty and staff,
Spring is (nearly) here, and as I look around campus, I notice activity picking up everywhere, from the Court of North Carolina to our many classrooms.
This semester, your hard work has really been noticed, as we have four newly-recognized Fulbright U.S. Scholars, along with the Office for Faculty Excellence hosting its fourth annual Conference on Faculty Excellence.
Our Campus Writing and Speaking Program will be hosting a seven-day writing challenge March 30 through April 5. This free program asks participants to commit 20 to 30 minutes each day writing on their own for seven consecutive days. We all know spring only gets busier, so this is a great opportunity to make headway on your scholarly or creative projects.
Of course, we can’t forget that the university’s Day of Giving is coming up on March 25. This is a great time to show others our commitment to our university, community and state by #GivingPack to a variety of worthy funds.
Whatever you are working on this time of year, I know that you are taking our Think and Do spirit and putting it into practice. Thank you for your commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service and engagement, and I look forward to what the rest of the semester holds.
