Dear faculty and staff,
Welcome back to campus as we start a new year and the spring 2025 semester! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday break with time to relax and spend with family and friends.
We recently finished up Winter Welcome Week, where the university welcomed new students to campus, along with returning faculty, staff and students. We’re also in the midst of our annual MLK Campus Commemoration, taking place now through Jan. 24.
This year’s theme is “Bridging Generations: Lighting the Way and Illuminating the Future,” which honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy in a way that reflects our values of learning, connection, and shared purpose. You can find out more here.
I also wanted to ask you to take a moment to fill out the University Standing Committee Survey, available online now through Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. This is a great way to provide leadership with feedback to help determine NC State’s direction for the future.
Thank you for helping us start 2025 strong – I look forward to what the semester holds for each of us.

Until next time,
