November 2024 Provost’s Corner
Dear faculty and staff,
We recently wrapped up another successful Red and White Week, and are busy preparing for the end of the fall semester. With final exams and graduation right around the corner, your fellow colleagues and students are hard at work.
There are many of you who deserve special recognition this year, as you have earned either promotion or tenure. You can read more about these 124 faculty members in this month’s newsletter.
We’re preparing to observe International Education Week, taking place Nov. 18-22. Along with the Office of Global Engagement, we take time to celebrate international education and exchange and what this means to the entire NC State community here and around the world. You can find a full list of related events here. We’re also in the midst of Native American Heritage Month, which strives to center and uplift the voices of Native people both on campus and in the community at large. This year’s Heritage Month programming theme is “The Power of Narrative.” You can learn more about what’s happening on campus this month here.
I wish you all the best as you finish up classes and prepare for final exams over the next several weeks. Soon, we’ll be in the Lenovo Center for fall commencement exercises and cheering on our new graduates. I am excited for what’s in store the rest of this year.

Until next time,
