Director of Institute for Emerging Issues Finalist Interviews Announced

Three finalists for the director of the Institute for Emerging Issues have been selected for on-campus interviews, which will begin the week of December 5. The finalists and their interview dates are:

  • Jennifer Harris, NC Department of Commerce: December 6
  • Sarah Langer Hall, NC State University: December 8
  • Jim Woodell, Venn Collaborative: December 13

Several constituent groups will have opportunities to meet with each candidate, and the entire NC State community is invited to the following open forums, which will be held on Centennial Campus with the option to participate via Zoom webinar:

  • Jennifer Harris: Tuesday, December 6, 10 – 11 a.m., Hunt Library/Institute for Emerging Issues, Workgroup Room 4101, and via Zoom webinar
  • Sarah Langer Hall: Thursday, December 8, 10 – 11 a.m., Hunt Library/Institute for Emerging Issues, Workgroup Room 4101, and via Zoom webinar
  • Jim Woodell: Tuesday, December 13, 10 – 11 a.m., Hunt Library/Institute for Emerging Issues, Workgroup Room 4101, and via Zoom webinar

Each candidate will give a presentation on their vision for how the Institute for Emerging Issues can make an impact in the lives of North Carolinians, with a question and answer session to follow. The presentations will be recorded and made available upon request at the conclusion of the last finalist interview.

NC State Executive Search Services will email participants separately the date, time and location for candidate interviews. The university requests as much in-person participation as possible, but will have virtual participation available as well.
