March 2022 Provost’s Corner

Provost Warwick Arden

Dear faculty and staff,

As we near the middle of March, I once again am impressed by how much has happened this semester. We’ve made even more progress in returning to a “new normal.”

We’ve made some adjustments to our COVID-19 policies, and you can keep up to date with all of those through our Protect the Pack website. I sincerely thank each and every one of you for doing your part in keeping our Wolfpack safe.

We have much to celebrate this Women’s History Month, as we honor those who have made NC State a model of teaching, research, service and innovation in higher education. These faculty, staff and students push us to reach higher and think and do in ways we’ve never done before. We’ve also celebrated the work of our outstanding faculty through our 2022 Teaching and Learning Symposium.

Additionally, we’re working toward expanding our interdisciplinary efforts on campus, with naming a director for our Integrative Sciences Initiative. Soon, we’ll also have updates on several administrative searches, which many of you have been actively engaged in over the past several months.

Through all of these things, we’re making strategic progress in creating a brighter future for NC State, and increasing our capabilities in serving the campus community well. I am excited about seeing the results of your continued commitment to comprehensive excellence at NC State, and how we will work together to finish the semester strong.

Until next time,
Warwick Arden
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
