November 2021 Provost’s Corner

Provost Warwick Arden

Dear faculty and staff,

Approaching the end of the fall 2021 semester, it is important to look back at our successes while continuing to move forward. We’ve been able to return to a more normal semester this time around, and continue to make great strides toward achieving our strategic goals.

We had a very successful Red and White Week this year, and are celebrating more than 100 newly-tenured or promoted faculty members. Next month, we’ll be celebrating our fall 2021 graduates with an in-person commencement ceremony in PNC Arena.

Thanksgiving will be here soon, and I want each of you to know how grateful I am for your dedication to NC State. During every season, no matter how difficult, you have consistently shown up and put in extra effort to make this university a wonderful place to work and learn.

Please take some time to step back and rest at the beginning of the holidays, as you certainly deserve it. I hope that we can continue to support one another and carry our Think and Do spirit through the end of this year into the beginning of the next one.

To keep up with all academic and faculty- or staff-related developments, follow @NCStateProvost on Twitter.

Until next time,
Warwick Arden
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
