Poole College of Management Dean Finalists Announced

On-campus interviews for the Stephen P. Zelnak Dean of the Poole College of Management finalist candidates will begin this week. The candidate chosen for this position will be a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to expand upon the College’s strong foundation of business innovation and success, and will have a passion for the strategic vision of the College and university.

The finalists are:

  • Kenneth Kahn, Virginia Commonwealth University, Wednesday, March 27-Friday, March 29
  • Gerard Sanders, University of Texas at San Antonio, Wednesday, April 3-Friday, April 5
  • Frank Buckless, NC State University, Monday, April 8-Wednesday, April 10

NC State faculty, staff and students are invited to open forums where each candidate will speak on their vision for the Poole College of Management, with a question and answer session to follow. The forum schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, March 28, 3:15-4:15 p.m., Nelson Hall, Room 2405 (Kenneth Kahn)
  • Thursday, April 4, 3:15-4:15 p.m., Nelson Hall, Room 2405 (Gerard Sanders)
  • Tuesday, April 9, 3:15-4:15 p.m., Nelson Hall, Room 2405 (Frank Buckless)

Each candidate will speak on their vision for the Poole College of Management, with a question and answer session to follow. All members of the NC State community are invited to attend. The presentations will be recorded and will be made available upon request on Wednesday, April 10.
