Attendees will be introduced to the why of societal engagement, the trajectory of societal engagement (science co-production), and the next phases of societal engagement (deliberative science). A case study will allow attendees to explore in small groups how to frame research problems and explore the FAIR and CARE principles of responsible and inclusive research.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by the Global One Health Academy, the Genetics &amp; Genomics Academy, and the Genetic Engineering &amp; Society Center, this event is part of a series of monthly Interdisciplinary Professional Development Workshops to help graduate students prepare for a career in interdisciplinary research.
