Three eligible NC&nbsp;State graduate students were awarded funding for travel occurring January through June 2025. Currently, as a Ph.D. student, Lindsay is interested in studying seagrass species interactions, seagrass restoration, microplastic accumulation, and green sea turtle diet composition. She received her B.S. in Biology from Kansas State University and her M.S. from the University of West Florida where she assessed microplastic contamination in loggerhead sea turtle eggs. She served in Zambia for two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer and has obtained her PADI Scuba Divemaster. She works in the Daily Well-Being in Adulthood Lab under the guidance of Dr. Shevaun D. Neupert. Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Health Psychology from the University of Hyderabad, India. Her research focuses on subjective aging, health, and well-being, particularly examining how environmental, social, and cognitive factors influence daily aging experiences. She is also interested in human-plant and human-animal interactions, and its bidirectional relationship with daily&nbsp;subjective aging. Her research focuses on urban green spaces in Nepal&#8217;s three metropolitan cities: Kathmandu, Bharatpur, and Pokhara. Through this study, she aims to evaluate the spatiotemporal changes in these urban green spaces, explore the perspectives of diverse stakeholders, and examine the existing policies and aspects of environmental justice. This research intends to support the Government of Nepal in future urban planning and development initiatives. Before joining NCSU, Shila served as a Forest Officer for over five years with the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Government of Nepal. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in forestry from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and a Master\u2019s in Natural Resources Management from Pokhara University, Nepal.
