My work spans 3 main areas: clinical infectious diseases, clinical research, and epidemiology\/public health. Clinically, I see a mix of consults through Duke Hospital but also an outrider clinic for HIV patients regardless of insurance status in Fayetteville, NC. For research, I am involved in both clinical trials (including trials for ceftobiprole and dalbavancin for Staph bacteremia) and infection prevention (including C. difficile prevention in hospital and community settings). Finally, for epidemiology\/public health, I also serve as a TB clinician for Wake County (which includes refugee health work) and conduct quality improvement\/epidemiology work with the TB program.
