Dr. Sarah Maness is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Education and Promotion at East Carolina University. She earned a PhD in Public Health from the University of South Florida and MPH from Emory University. She holds Bachelors Degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish from North Carolina State University. Her research interests are in social determinants of health, focusing on reproductive health and community firearm violence prevention. She has global health experience working as a Fulbright Specialist in Ecuador, has led study abroad in 7 countries and presented research on 4 continents.
