Dr. Bist joined NC State in July 2025 as an Assistant Professor specializing in AI applications for livestock and food systems. His research integrates machine learning, robotics, and sensing technologies to enhance animal health monitoring, precision management, and food quality assessment. Dr. Bist aims to improve animal health, welfare, and productivity through automated monitoring, precision management, and real-time data analytics. He also develops AI-powered tools for non-invasive food quality detection.
