Ram Janakiraman, Ph.D. (@DataScienceProf) is the ​R. Randall Rollins Distinguished Professor and Professor of Marketing Analytics at the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University. Dr. Ram has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. Dr. Ram’s substantive research areas include social and digital media, big data, health/healthcare marketing and marketing/public policy issues. Dr. Ram’s research has appeared or forthcoming in leading marketing, information systems, operations management, strategy and medical journals. In terms of healthcare and healthcare marketing, Dr. Ram has examined issues such as physicians’ prescription behavior, the role of technology and information access on hospital performance and nutritional quality of packaged foods. Dr. Ram’s research has received several recognitions and has been supported by several national and international research grants.
