Neil Vezeau

Bio

Neil Vezeau is a food safety veterinarian working in Hawaii at the wildlife-human interface. He completed his DVM/MPH at Iowa State & the University of Iowa in 2021. Neil currently serves as President-Elect of the National Association of Federal Veterinarians, where he and others work across multiple societal sectors to address veterinary public health workforce issues. Neil was founding president of the International Student One Health Alliance, in which he built OH capacity with youth worldwide. He continues global OH-related work in the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Committee on International Veterinary Affairs. His scholarship focuses on antimicrobial resistance, gender equity, and OH training pipelines, and he typically coordinates teams of international stakeholders for these efforts.
