Bio

Fidisoa Rasambainarivo is a wildlife veterinarian and disease ecologist whose research focuses on how habitat degradation and interactions between humans, domestic animals, and wildlife influence patterns of pathogen transmission in Madagascar. Using a multidisciplinary approach that combines fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and computational modeling, his work aims to understand the ecological drivers of infectious diseases across ecosystems and geographic boundaries. He is also the co-founder of Mahaliana Labs, a research initiative in Madagascar dedicated to advancing conservation science and building local scientific capacity, where he leads projects on wildlife health and disease ecology.
